Get Free Bitcoin when you sign up to coinbase

If your new to cryptocurrency we recommend coinbase which is the most secure and established crypto exchange it can even be directly linked to your paypal for extra security and fast deposits and withdrawals.

Coinbase is one of the best know and well established places to hold bitcoin and other digital currencies, It is also a good place to buy and sell crypto currencies at a profit, It also very low fees each time you buy and sell.
On some trading platforms like Etoro you can loose money at a very fast rate as it works on a leverage system, in other words you don't actually own the stock, share, crypto etc, So if the prices drop and you have done a buy trade you can end up loosing all the money, Buying digital currencies on Coinbase is different because if the price of the digital currency drops you wont lose all your money as you will still own the units of crypto you hold, obviously it's not a good idea to buy any stock, share or crypto while the price is too high as it has only has one direction to go and that's down.

The risky part of buying crypto currencies is if you buy from a platform or store on a wallet that is not established and also if you buy from non established crypto projects as these are just companies and crypto companies can go bust like any other company which means the currency the issue will become worthless, Coinbase will only allow you to buy and sell digital money from digital currency companies that they have researched, Knowing this gives me much more confidence to be a digital money holder at Coinbase.
If your new to Bitcoin and digital currencies and you have heared of people making millions well yes this is true but unfortunately that is a train many of us missed as the bitcoin was trading for pennies back then and since then has spiked to thousands of pounds, however I think it's still worth while to hold some digital currency as it has a lot of future potential.

If you sign up on the link below Coinbase will give you some free bitcoin after your first deposit.

Follow my link to receieve $10 worth of free bitcoin.

Free bitcoin availablehttps://www.coinbase.com/join/59ebb4a61b0a91011e8c552c

Another great Digital Currency trading platform is Bittrex Global settings on there are take a little while to get used to but after an hour or so you should pretty much know how everything works and there is a huge choice of Digital Currencies to invest in, minimum trades are between £5 - £10 which is a lot less than platforms like Etoro, I haven't used Bittrex for a while but as far a I remember they have introduced auto sell settings that will sell your altcoins when it reaches the price you want to sell at, unlike Coinbase when Bittrex sells your altcoins it converts into bitcoin you would then need to send the bitcoin to coinbase and convert it back into £pounds or Euros depending which Country your in.
Here's a link to Bittrex if you ever want learn more about Digital Currencies

3 ton/hr Scrap Copper Aluminum Radiator Recycling Plant_Radiator Crushin...

How X Ray Fluorescence Works

How X Ray Fluorescence Works

Here's an interesting video on how XRF Technology works, XRF handheld devices are very useful when grading metals that are hard to identify like nickel and higher grades of stainless steel, It is also a very good tool for getting a 100 percent reading on gold, silver, platinum and other very precious metals unfortunately it can only be on a wish list of many traders as they don't come any cheaper the £10,000 for a very basic XRF device, also care needs to be taken using one of these devices as they work like an Xray machine and has similar radiation hazards.

MOTOR RECYCLING MACHINES

Ever wondered how they take the copper out of electric motors well here's a couple of great videos showing exactly how this process is done.
As you will see in the videos even with this great machinery it's still quite a time consuming job, I don't know of any UK companies using this machinery, generally electric motors are exported from the UK and this process is done in the countries who have bought the motors. If copper prices really spiked it probably be worth while having one of these machines.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COPPER, BRASS AND BRONZE

Good video explaining the difference between copper, brass and bronze, The 2 metals brass and bronze can often be confused with each other however bronze does have a slightly higher value, If you have a fair amount of bronze some scrap yards will buy it as bronze at a higher rate but if you only have a small amount most scrap yards will just buy it as brass and throw the bronze in with their own brass, bronze is not a common metal that comes into a scrap yard, In some cases bronze can be confused for copper but once the metal has been scraped with a file the distinctive metal colouring will show wether it is copper or bronze or even brass in some cases.

Scrap Metal Yard open every Sunday

As mentioned in an older post We are open every Sunday
hours vary anywhere between 9am-7pm, We recommend calling first 07802780631.

We chose Sunday to be one of our main trading days to help building contractors and other types of tradesmen get their vehicles
empty and ready for work on a Monday morning, as having scrap metal in their way can leave less room in the van for picking up building materials for their site work.

We also noted that most tradesman were also uncomfortable with leaving their valuable scrap metals on site over the weekend as there is more of a risk of it being stolen, so giving the option of emptying their van on a Sunday is an option that many of my customers are grateful of having.

We sometimes miss out one or two days in the week to make up for the days we done over the weekend so we always recommend that you call first so we can let you know if we are open or not.

So don't forget every Sunday you will be able to sell your Scrap Lead, Scrap Copper, Scrap Brass and Scrap Cable to our Metal Recycling Business based in Wembley, Instant Bank transfer available proof of address and valid I.D must be provided.

You will still receive an instant payment even on a Sunday, new customers are always welcome.

Don't worry if you only have a small time slot to sell your metals to us, in most cases we will serve you straight away, we will put your metals into wheelie bins roll them on to the scales, we then write the correct weights down in kilograms, this is a very simple and fast process, which helps us turn your metals into money in a very short amount of time, our bank transfer system is also lightning quick, so you will not need to do any waiting around for a payment.

Summary fast service fast payment open Sunday = Happy Customers.

What is the difference between the magnetic properties of 304 and 316 stainless steel?

Magnetic and non-Magnetic Stainless Steel

There are several families of stainless steels with different physical properties. The magnetic properties of stainless steel are very dependent on the elements added into the alloy. A basic stainless steel has a ‘ferritic’ structure and is magnetic, formed from the addition of chromium – it can be hardened through the addition of carbon, making it ‘martensitic’. However, the most common stainless steels are ‘austenitic’ – these have a higher chromium content and nickel is also added. It is the nickel which modifies the physical structure of the steel and makes it theoretically non-magnetic.

304 stainless steel contains chromium (min. 18%), and nickel (min. 8%). It is an austenite steel and is only slightly responsive to magnetic fields. It also contains 18 – 20% chromium and 8-10.50% nickel, and lesser quantities of some other elements.

316 stainless steel is a molybdenum-alloyed steel. The fact that it is also negligibly responsive to magnetic fields means that it can be used in applications where a non-magnetic metal is required. It also contains a number of other elements in varying concentrations.

Type Analysis of Stainless Steel

Steel composition

Steel composition detail

Transformation from non-magnetic to magnetic phases

As both 316 and 304 stainless steels are austenitic, when they cool, the iron remains in the form of austenite (gamma iron), a phase of iron which is nonmagnetic. The different phases of solid iron correspond to different crystal structures. In other alloys of steel, this high-temperature phase of iron transforms to a magnetic phase when the metal cools. The presence of nickel in the stainless steel alloys stabilizes austenite against this phase transition as the alloy cools to room temperature. This corresponds to a somewhat larger magnetic susceptibility than we might expect for other nonmagnetic materials, but is still well below what might be considered magnetic.

However, this does not mean that you should expect to measure such a low susceptibility on any item of 304 or 316 stainless steel that you encounter. Any process which can change the crystal structure of stainless steel can cause austenite to be converted to the ferromagnetic martensite or ferrite forms of iron. These processes include cold working and welding. It is also possible for austenite to spontaneously convert to martensite at low temperatures. To complicate matters further, the magnetic properties of these alloys depend on the alloy composition. Within the allowed ranges of variation of Ni and Cr, significant differences in magnetic properties may be observed for a given alloy.

Practical implications for removal of stainless steel particles

Both 304 and 316 stainless steel possess paramagnetic characteristics.  As a result of these properties small particles (approx 0.1-3mm dia sphere for example) can be attracted to powerful magnetic separators positioned in the product stream. Depending upon their weight and specifically their weight ratio to magnetic attraction, these small particles will be held to the magnets during the production process.

These can then be removed during the magnet cleaning operation. From our experience 304SS small particles are more likely to be held in the flow than 316 SS particles due to its slightly more magnetic nature.

Auto Scrap Metals and Values

This Post is for the attention of Car, Van or Lorry Repair workshop owners.

If you are an owner of a car, van or lorry repair workshop then Scrap Metal would be something you see quite often, Scrap Metal auto parts build up so quick you would be more inclined to just give it away to a passing scrap collector to regain space to work.

Our advice would be to hang on to the most valuable items as you would see a steady monthly income flowing back into your motor repair business for just by selling these waste metal auto parts to scrap metal merchants like us.

Car Scrap items worth selling as follows

Car Batteries
Alternators
Brake Discs
Gear Boxes
Car Looms
Alloy Wheels
Catalytic converters
DPF's

Below is a list of items not worth hanging on to if you short of space.

Body panels
Exhaust systems
Break Pads
Clutches
Break Shoes

Reason being these items are only light iron which is the least valuable type of metal and you would need 5-10 times more in weight to generate the same amount of money compared to the items on the other list.

There is no collection charge for valuable auto scrap metals, we just weigh your items pay you the price which has been calculated by bank transfer then load it all up, it's as simple as that, once your bank details are on system it becomes even quicker as we just click a few buttons and your cleared funds will be in your bank in an instant.

Please note we do not take away car body shells and most scrap yards will still require a logbook to allow a delivery or collection of a scrap car body shell.

Chinese scientists have turned copper into a material that's 'almost identical' to gold

https://www.businessinsider.com/gold-chinese-scientists-turn-copper-into-similar-material-2018-12?r=US&IR=T

Chinese scientists have turned copper into a material that is "almost identical" to gold, a new study says.
  • The new material will reduce the use of rare, expensive metals in factories, the authors say.
A team of Chinese researchers has turned cheap copper into a new material "almost identical" to gold, according to a study published on Saturday in the peer-reviewed journal Science Advances.
The discovery could significantly reduce the use of rare, expensive metals in factories, the authors said.
Professor Sun Jian and his colleagues at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Liaoning, shot a copper target with a jet of hot, electrically charged argon gas.
The fast-moving ionised particles blasted copper atoms off the target. The atoms cooled down and condensed on the surface of a collecting device, producing a thin layer of sand.
Each grain of the sand had a diameter of only a few nanometres, or a thousandth of the size of a bacterium.
The researchers put the material in a reaction chamber and used it as a catalyst to turn coal to alcohol, a sophisticated and difficult chemical process that only precious metals can handle efficiently.
"The copper nano particles achieved catalytic performance extremely similar to that of gold or silver," Sun and collaborators said in a statement posted on the academy's website on Saturday.
"The results … proved that after processing, metal copper can transform from 'chicken' to 'phoenix,'" said Sun, who was not immediately available for comment.
Copper has a similar weight and look to gold. For centuries it has attracted alchemists who saw it as a gateway to instant riches.
The new material created by Sun's lab cannot be used to make fake gold pennies. Its density remains the same as ordinary copper.
But the process could prove lucrative and provide a significant boost for Chinese industries, according to the researchers.
Precious metals remain central to modern economies. The components of electronic devices, for instance, contain a large amount of gold, silver, and platinum.
About 40 smartphones can contain as much gold as a ton of ore, it has been estimated.
Copper cannot function as well as gold in industrial applications, mainly because there are fewer electrons — subatomic particles with negative charge — buzzing around its nucleus.
These electrons are also relatively unstable, so copper tends to react more easily when combining with other chemicals.
The method developed by Sun's team can inject a large amount of energy into copper atoms and made the electrons more dense and stable, they said.
The new material can resist high temperatures, oxidisation, and erosion, according to the researchers.
It is "like a warrior with golden armour in a battlefield, capable of withstanding any enemy assault," they said.
