We can also pay for your Scrap Metal using Paypal

As you may know it is illegal for Scrap Yards to pay for Metal with Cash,  So we offer a range of solutions to get your payment over to you as swiftly as possible.

First option is a Cheque, this is my preferred option as it takes very little time to write cheque and business is done in a shorter amount of time.

Second option is 24 telephone banking, We contact our Bank while you are present and request your instant payment is sent over we allow you to hear our conversation with the Bank to give you peace of mind that you will genuinely receive a payment, The only downfall with telephone banking is during busy periods it can take up to 20 minutes to get through to the Banking staff answering the calls.

Third option is we can send the instant payment from our Laptops however unless we have made a payment to you before can take up to 10 minutes to log in and go through security, not always practical if we have only 20 minutes to park on a yellow line as much of the time will be taken up by weighing and loading. If you are registered with Barclays pingit then we can do this instantly

We would like to introduce an extra option of being paid by paypal, this potentially could be a much quicker way to be paid, paypal have also introduced a new prepaid debit card which would be ideal for a fast transaction here is the link to the paypal debit card.

The Price of Light Iron

Most Scrap Yards consider the following items as light Iron, Washing Machines, Cookers, Microwaves, Printers, Computers.

They are classed as Light Iron as they are not the 100 percent steel like an RSJ for example which would be classed as Shearing and would sell for a much better price per Tonne.

Despite the hype light Iron is not worth the fortunes which the Media like to portray, At this point in time the larger scrap yards light iron prices range from 100 - 145 pounds per Tonne, So with this in mind the average washing machine would be worth around 6 pounds.

We would like to let customers know in advance that as a mobile Scrap Metal Dealer we have no interest in buying washing machines and other single light Iron items, However if you have had your central heating system renewed and you would like us to buy all the scrap metal including any light iron here is a list of what we can offer at today's prices.

Copper Tube (no brass fittings)    £poa

Copper Tube (with brass fittings) £poa

Copper Cylinder                     £poa

Radiators & Boiler £poa

These prices include collection.
